Located right along the Raritan River in Middlesex County, New Jersey, sits the borough of Sayreville. Although the borough remains an industrial town, the addition of many technology companies and a growing residential population has changed the landscape of this central New Jersey town. The Sayreville Public Schools serve students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Sayreville has four kindergarten through third grade schools including Emma Arleth Elementary School, Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School, Harry S.Truman Elementary School and Woodrow Wilson Elementary School educating more than 1,600 children. Sayreville Upper Elementary School for grades four and five serve about 880 students and Sayreville Middle School educate1,300 plus students in sixth through eighth grade. Sayreville War Memorial High School in Sayreville educates about 1,700 high school students. There is also Jesse Selover Elementary School within Sayreville’s town limits. It is a half-day and full day program for children ages three to five with moderate disabilities.
Sayreville is conveniently located near several major roadways like the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike or Interstate 95. Interstate 287 becomes Route 440 and provides access to Staten and Long Islands in New York. Route 1, 9, 18, 34 and Route 35 are also nearby Sayreville. New Jersey Transit offers service to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan via the 131 and 139 lines.
