Perth Amboy occupies 6 square miles of Middlesex County, New Jersey. This city is home to almost 49,000 residents who are located right next to the Raritan River. Perth Amboy and South Amboy across the Raritan River are collectively referred to as The Amboys. The waterfront has also seen a rebirth. The marina has been extended with new promenades, parks, and housing overlooking the bay. Patten Elementary School and Dr. Herbert N. Richardson 21st Century School serving more than 3,000 children. Robert N. Wilentz School is a school educating students kindergarten through fourth grade, enrolled is about 800 students. Samuel E.Shull Middle School educated more than 1,000 students and William C. McGinnis Middle School serves about 1,400; both educating children grades five through eight. More than 2,000 students are enrolled at Perth Amboy High School. Holy Trinity School is also located in Perth Amboy.
Perth Amboy is conveniently situated between State Highway’s 440 and 35. New Jersey Transit buses serve the Port Authority Bus Terminal on the 116 route as well.
