Holland Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, is located across the Delaware River from Pennsylvania. Located in Holland, the 379-acre Musconetcong Gorge Nature Preserve is an undeveloped park managed by the Hunterdon County Parks and Recreational System, with steeply wooded terrain overlooking the Musconetcong River. The gorge includes many spring-fed streams, a variety of plant species and wildlife. Holland occupies a 24.1 square mile area and has a population of about 5,000.
The Holland Township School District serves students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Holland Township Elementary School serving grades kindergarten through fourth grade with an enrollment of 378 students and Holland Township Middle School educates 343 students grades five through eight. Both schools operate within the same facility. High school students attend the Delaware Valley Regional High School in nearby Frenchtown along with students from Alexandria, Kingwood, Frenchtown and Milford.
