The East Amwell Township School District serves approximately 480 students in Pre-K through eighth grade. Students grades nine through twelve attend Hunterdon Central High School along with students from Delaware Township, Flemington, Raritan and Readington. Approximately 3,000 are enrolled at this school.

Route 202 runs parallel to East Amwell just along the western side. This is true for State Highway 179 and 31 as well. Route 206 is East of this township.
