Positioned in the north eastern corner of Somerset County, New Jersey, Bernards Township is comprised of 24 square miles of land and is home to more than 26,000 residents. Bernards is segmented into different unincorporated areas including, Basking Ridge, Liberty Corner, Lyons, and West Millington.
Over the past several years, Ridge High School in Bernards has climbed in the rankings of “Top Public High Schools” by New Jersey Monthly magazine. The Bernards Township School District serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. There are five K-5 schools in this township including Cedar Hill Elementary School, Liberty Corner Elementary School, Mount Prospect Elementary School and Oak Street Elementary School, educating more than 2,500 students. Cedar Hill Elementary School also has an in house program for children with autism. William Annin Middle School serves 1,260 students in grades six through eight and Ridge High School has an enrollment of 1,526.
Interstate 78 and Interstate 287 both intersect in Bernards Township making it very convenient to commute in and out of town.
